Swarm Intelligence Cup

Achieving human-level AI requires incorporating crucial elements that are currently absent from state-of-the-art AI systems. A prime aspect of human intelligence, and life on Earth in general, is the manifestation of complex behavior through countless simple cells. The Swarm Intelligence Cup is designed to explore the potential of strong emergence in swarm intelligence, going beyond conventional applications to reach new AI heights.

Your Mission:

Control a swarm that guides a simple robot named SwarmRover in the animated world of Webots. By adjusting agent parameters and their simulated environment, you'll contribute to demonstrating the untapped potential of swarm intelligence in AI, aiming for strong emergence. Your challenges in the Swarm Intelligence Cup include:

• Performing maneuvers with SwarmRover
• Navigating SwarmRover through a classic maze
• Sorting objects with SwarmRover based on their properties

Selected teams are currently defining agents, their environment, and the interface bridging the robot and the swarm, laying the groundwork for the competition.
